Something I'd not only have to keep tabs on, but watch myself with as well. Certain information cannot just fall into one's lap. Though, I feel I can trust her. Anyway, she's looking to branch out into Gotham and I've offered to help her find an appropriate office for her dealings. And it just so happens, I've found the perfect place. It's right across the busy intersection from where Wayne Towers' stands and just in the limesight of my Clocktower's view. On the twenty-fourth floor... the ENTIRE floor, with the proper hookups for an ultra fast, connection line, as well as access to all other ports of information. I made it a note to track the address that our previous conversation came on. And with a few taps of my keyboard, her computer screen blips on, my face-- or rather my green "Mark" pops up. "Sandi....? Are you available?"

SandiPosted: Apr 30, 2006 4:28 AM I made it a note to track the address that our previous conversation came on. And with a few taps of my keyboard, her computer screen blips on, my face-- or rather my green "Mark" pops up. "Sandi....? Are you available?" Her head snaps back awake as the message alert bleeps on her computer. She fumbles across the empty bottle of Jack as she scrambles for the computer. "Yea, Oracle I'm here." She wipes the sleep from her eyes as she stretches and cracks her back at the same time. " I take it you have good news from the smile on your bobbling green head " She glances to the clock and can't believe she had fallen asleep, she was supposed to make arrangements to meet a new client and interview a potential new well assistant to help her out - so she could avoid situations like this. She looks around the lofty hotel room and wished she would have stayed out Bruce... Okay back to the screen... She clicked off several pop up adds and barely glanced over the messages from her sometimes boyfriend the Taskmaster. Always the same thing... 'I miss you' , 'I love you', and my personal fave 'Sorry I can't make it'. She couldn't help but shake her head as she deleted his spam and wondered if anyone had problems like this with their loved ones... She fumbled around some more as she went to the kitchen and grabbed what remained from last nights pizza and a soda from the mini fridge. Eventually she made it back to the computer chair where she simply ate and waited for an answer.

Behind the monitor, Barbara grinned at her response. She shoved a piece of chicken into her mouth before she spoke. "I do. Incoming file download."
Taking a moment to ingest another piece of chicken. She hadn't eaten all day and was just glad to be putting something into her system to tide her over.
Wiping her hands on her pants, she continued and sent the file over. "Complete with images from inside the building itself.
"If you decide you really like the place after you check it out for yourself, call me back and I'll make sure to tell the property manager that we want that floor. They're reserving it now for you, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
"I'm just hoping it suits your needs in what you were looking for."

She merely choked on oversized piece of pizza when she saw the place and then more importantly the price.
"Absolutely" SHe eagerly began to to type. "If the place is anything resembling the pics then I have no other choice but to get it."
"Good job. You'll have to let me buy you a beer or something after this."
The location was perfect the size was perfect oh happy day- coming to Gotham was definitely a good plan. And then her cell began to buzz she glanced at the number and simply ended it lonely buzzing to go to the voice mail. Men were becoming so annoying now-a-days so it was refreshing to have someone other than the 'guys' to chat with.
She heard the phone again this time ringing and once Tony's name came up she merely opened up the back pulled out the sim card and tossed it out the window to whatever doom it faced itself.
"So what fun is there here in Gotham?"

Chuckling faintly from that she shook her head, her manner stepping into the light and airy side of things. "If you give beer to your computer, it might blow up. I don't recommend it." she quipped, jokingly.
She had a feeling that would probably sound weird to her coming from a synthizied computer voice and all.
"Well..." she leaned back, taking a sip of her root beer to wash the bits of chicken down. "Depends on what you're into.
"The night life is pretty lively up in the Fashion District on a nightly basis. Some of the trendiest clubs this side of Metropolis play host here.
"The only thing is, you can't snowboard here. I don't know if you're into that but. you'd have to travel a bit out of the city's limits for that."
She thought for a moment longer. "However, if all you want to do is shop. There are plenty of stores that I'm sure would suit your tastes. Whatever they may be."

"Okay check with the beer and something to remember when I actually am drunk and talking to odd voices online!"
" I honestly haven't thought about shopping since I've been here. And I know I could use a new Fendi or a Chloe." What surprised her was how fast that actually came out of her mouth without even realizing it.
" I don't know I'm really just looking for a refreshing look on life. And Gotham has always been there since I was a little girl living in Bludhaven though that was only a year my mother brought me to Gotham several times and I simply loved it. And now that i'm older it's like I fell in love with it all over again." She stopped for a second to sip her drink.
"Not to mention the guys here are pretty hot."

Barbara raised an eyebrow. This was definitly something new to add to her list. "You grew up in Bludhaven? Really?" Not that it was surprising or anything, it just caught her off guard. "Bludhaven used to be nice many moons ago. Before the drugs, violence, corrupt police force..."
She smirked. "There are always so many cute guys in a city. It's really astonishing.
"Are you a shoppoholic, Sandi?" the question was innocent enough. She was just curious was all.

She had already wrinkled her nose- Bludhaven? Nice?
"Are you kidding Bludhaven has always been a wreck- they just choose now to no longer hide the fact." Perhaps Sandi was over judging but then again that was last time her real father was alive. Her father was murdered in front of her house as both her and her mother were bolted inside listening to her mother cries and screams from her dad to not open the door and then the gunshots and the cars shrieking away- she remembered being hte first to open the door and her fathers body hitting her new white shoes and the blood already splattering their marks against them...
Then she snapped back to reality when Oracle had mentioned 'shoppoholic' ...
She couldn't help but force the memories back and eased back into her cool smiling exterior "Are you kidding? If it wasn't for Prada, Dooney, and Louie I could have been able to retire by now."

Barbara weighed her differences for a moment. "Well, " she countered. "It really all depends on which area you were in. Some areas were far worse off than others."
Shaking her head from Sandi's last response, she chuckled weakly. She adored the girl's humor. That was definite. "Would you call them as a cancer to your system?" she questioned.

"Oh please, if it was cancer I would be way gone. But I know if I decide to move myself completely in Gotham then my place would definitely have a room for the purses and shoes and another room for my clothes. IS this is part where I admit I may have a problem and that I should go to the Shoes Anon group next Thursday."
Sandi then saw something from the corner of her eye out of the window. She slowly moved as she grabbed a gun from the bag beside her and eased it to the side of her lap.
She watched as the shadow hesitated and motioned closer so she spoke with a cool and calm voice ... "Oracle, i'm going to have to let you go. But thanks for your help- i'll catch you around."
She reached for the .45 and crept to the window as she pulled back the blinds only to have her cat jump at the window.
"Damn it, never scare me like that. Let me open it up, hold on... how did you get outside anyways?" She picked up the cat awkwardly with the gun still in her hand then closed and locked the window as she stared out into the night

Barbara just silently grinned behind her monitor, casually taking another sip of her drink.
"Not a problem, Sandi. I'll talk to you soon I'm sure. I'll stay in touch."
The computer screen faded into black as she noticed a red blinking dot on one of screens. "Oh... lovely."
She shook her head. "Job's never done..."
