“Are you sure?” Rose asked grip tightening on her swords. “I can help… we can take this loser down real quick and easy.” Rose stated.
She pulled out her sword pulling them in front of her ready. She swung her white hair out of face and glared at Prometheus.

The BatPosted: Jan 3, 2007 8:56 AM Batman as ONE sensed Calculators presence. "Petty Revenge? as He spoke through the OMAC at the upper window of the Iceberg Lounge. "Destroy Brother Eye? I...AM Brother Eye! And with that, Batman sent a stored neural charge pulsing into the room. "What's the matter Noah, off your meds agains?" "Noah, all you have done is destroy a satellite and briefly disrupt my link to the OMAC." "Did you honestly think I would set that kind of technology out to the world without a main tether?" Turning away, Batman set into action the Lazarus Protocol. Then, deep inside the Batcave, the behemoth mainframe that was BE whirred on, shaking the steel fittings as it lurched to life and slid along steel rails to connect the Batcave main computer. At that moment, a signal was sent far off to Saudi Arabi. The sand in this arid, desolate part of the Rub Al-Khali desert began to shift as a massive hand pushes up through a dune. BE then interfaced with Batman, " Brother 1, this is The Creator, known as ONE. The conflict you faced within your construct has been purged." " The one known as Brother Eye is deleted. Prepare to receive new protocol." Batman accessed his human form, jacked out, and typed on the keyboard, c:RUN; EXEC://LAZARUS//CONSTRUCT REBOOT//CORE 1//CANCEL METAHUMAN WATCH. The system responded, "Welcome Batman. LAZARUS ready, Password?" Batman entered *GREEN ARROW*. The mainframe shuddered with a huge THWUMP, then went black. On the streets of Gotham, the OMAC stood motionless, not knowing what to do. Yet the battle raged as the villians continued their assault. The Batplanes hovered waiting for the heroes to acknowledge. One for Drake, one at the Clocktower and 13 others standing by. The main panel of the batcomputer, which was now merged with the modified Brother 1, blinked to life. Jacking back in, Batman was again bathed in white light as he became ONE. "Greetings B1." And Batman reconnected with the OMAC with no possible outside influence. "OMAC units this is ONE, cease assault." "Batman to Oracle, respond" "I have a little mission for you." SAUDI ARABIA - RUB AL-KHALI DESERT The huge OMAC unit was fully emerged from the sand and stood as it received it's new instruction. "Acknowledged, Defend Gotham City" GOTHAM CITY With the new instructions sent and leaving Calculator no access to anything created by himself, Batman unplugged from the mainframe. He then sent new protocol to Oracle leaving the defense of Gotham via the OMAC in her control, save but one unit. That unit had it's own mission- Find Noah Nuttler. ETA to Gotham from Saudi Arabi 2 hours and counting. Batman couldn't wait to get his hands on Nuttler, "Not in my city, not ever"

With her computer's warning her of systems overload, Barbara grumbled, wishing that her newest shipment of tech replacements were already in her possession. Instead, she was supposed to wait another week for her upgrades from Wayne Tech...however, given the situation, it didn't seem like she was going to get a hold of those upgrades now.
Hearing Robin's voice come through her communicator, she frowned. An unknown shooter?
With each passing second she hated the situation less and less.
"My condolences, sweetie..." her voice held a note of sincerity, even though the trouble and stress was still present, but she was in working mode. She couldn't stay in a somber mood. Not now. The hour was too critical.
It then hit her like a ton of bricks--
What if those shots weren't meant for Tim's friends? But instead fo Jack, Dana... or even Tim himself?
"Tim-- you HAVE to listen to me-- You NEED to be careful. There's no telling who's out running around in the streets. We may know what's flying overhead-- but as for the rogues? I can't say for sure.
"All I can confirm is that Prometheus is within sight of Black Canary. The only reason why I know this is because I can see him from her visuals."
Switching channels, she spoke to Canary, happening to pick up on Rose's voice. Oracle had to be the annoyance in Canary's ear. "You're going to need all the help you can get with Prometheus, Dinah. You KNOW what he can do.
"If you forget, he's taken down Lady Shiva in three seconds.... LADY SHIVA. Need I remind you? I have a feeling he upgraded his moves since our last tango. Be on alert. Allow Ravager to assist you."
Once again, switching channels, she set in-tuned to a frequency to allow her to connect with Rose. "No matter what Canary says, I want the both of you on Prometheus's case like a fly on sticky tape. Take him down. Whatever the cost."
Checking in on Robin once again, she continued. "I hear you Robin-- ROBIN--?" Why did he suddenly cut off? Was he okay? "TIM!! Respond!!"
A small lump in her stomach formed.
Her panels were lighting up just like the sky on the fourth of July.
"Wonder Girl--" hearing Cassie's voice was a small sound of relief. "Anywhere. The center of town is probably where the most help would be appreciated. With your speed and strength I'm sure there are few dozen people who are in need of someone to assist them into getting someplace safe." She stopped a minute thinking about it. She frowned. "Could you fly over where GCPD is..... was...?"
She hated the sound of that. "I would appriciate a visual..."
Hearing another incoming call, with her heart still in it's incredibly energized state, she sighed. Apparently Green Lantern was on scene and tending to their ruptured gas line situation.
At least a small bit of stress was being eased from her shoulders with that
"Batman?" She connected with the Dark Knight watching her screen. "What is this protocol enabling?" She was sure that whatever he sent was valuable in a technological state. But she she had no idea what box it opened, it would be useless.
"What's your location?" she asked him, still unable to pick up a clear trace. "I'm pulling you up as "Unidentifiable Point". Are you in something jamming my trace?"
She made a mental note to fix that bug with her trace system as soon as this chaos was over. D.E.L.P.H.I. system definitly needs an upgrade...

The BatPosted: Jan 3, 2007 10:44 PM Batman placed his hand to his ear as he received a communication from Oracle: "Oracle, the protocol is a set of codex which link you to the batcave computer." "Noah and I have been waging a virtual battle of sorts over the control of Brother Eye. He had accessed it's sub systems and was using it to control the OMAC. You will recall that Brother 1, my original creation, had the problem of "split identity" and renamed itself Brother Eye. That conflict no longer exists. Brother 1 has been restored using LAZARUS and the AI is buffered." "With the codex installed, you'll have control of the OMAC to assist the fight for Gotham. You will also have control of the 15 remote control Batplanes to aid the heroes and the injured. If you have not already seen it, there is one at the Drake's and one outside your window." Batman paused. "Oracle, Noah is drastically altered. He seems to have injected himself with some sort of living, functioning computer virus. I don't yet know to what extend his abilities have been augmented." "I'm on my way to him now"

Robin Posted: Jan 4, 2007 12:16 AM
“Oracle? Oracle?! Barb!” Tim hissed into his headset. Damn it! The signal was jammed or something. He didn’t have time to fix the glitch or what not, someone had just murdered two people inside his house, under his watch. It wasn’t going to happen again. He reached behind his cape pulling out his bo-staff looking around carefully as he ducked behind some bushes.
“Oracle? Batman? Damn this stupid….” Tim cursed as his headset turned up static. He turned the volume down slightly and narrowed his eyes seeing a dark figure, probably around Bruce’s height and weight lurking around. Oh, but that wasn’t Batman… there were no pointy ears as a give away.
Tim knew who that was. It was Deathstroke.
Hatred from their last encounter steamed up inside him as he twisted his hands tightly on his bo-staff. He wasn’t sure who he had more hatred for. Wilson or Kuttler. They both had humiliated him… broken him… attempted to kill his friends. Not again. That wouldn’t happen.
Tim started to move forward when he heard a gun shot and no sooner then a second later had a bullet hole fresh in his cape from where he had ducked to avoid a bulls eye in the head.
“Shit…” Robin breathed heavily. He saw Wilson come over. Damn it! Damn it! Damn IT! What a great time for his headset to cut out. He rolled out of the bushes as swung his line up a tree swinging out of sight from the angry cyclops. Tim spotted a small bat-plane near his backyard… Bruce’s doing? Tim allowed a small smile. Yea. Thanks Bruce. He needed to get his father and Dana to that plane as soon as he could…
But first he’d have to distract Deathstroke allowing his parents to get to the plane. And the guests… Damn it.... Tim thought dryly, I’ll get them out of danger… I will…
“Woa!” Tim shouted as Slade chucked a dagger at him. It was time to stop day dreaming and start getting down to business.
“Oracle… I don’t know if you can hear me… but that shooter… Slade Wilson…” Tim said running along his yard devising a plan to stop Deathstroke.

The glow of Barbara's monitor's smile back to her in a green hue.
And finally some GOOD news.
Turning her head to investigate Batman's claims, she brought up a grid of the surrounding area around the Clocktower. Checking the radar communications, she confirmed that there was in fact a jet waiting near the area.
"So apparently you've decided to upgrade from picking me up in the batmobile to just swooping me off in a jet, hmm? Very suave, Batman. Thanks."
She meant it. If need be, she would have an easier exit... but for the moment, she wasn't in primal danger.
Others were.
With the aid of the code that Batman sent to her, she rerouted some of the jets to new locations, including the one that was not far from the tower. It could be used by a different means for an even greater mission.
"That's music to my ears, Boss." She said, looking further into the code. "I had kind of already had access to your computer for about fifteen minutes now. I hacked into your system to protect it. But.. this will structure my presence in there because I'll be able to close your backdoor."
Once again resuming contact with Robin, she passed the good news. "I'm sending a jet to your location, Robin. Have Dana and your father climb in. I'll have the plane fly them to a safe location."
She silently hoped the boy could hear him. "Is there any way you can get to them?"
Switching back to Batman. "The Titans are on their way, Bruce. Green lantern's doing what he can to contain the major gas leaks-- though Ravager and Black Canary are having some problems with Prometheus
"As for Calculator-- if you can get close enough to draw some blood from him and hook it up to your sensor-scan... I can get an idea of what we're looking at--"

Slade Posted: Jan 4, 2007 12:24 AM
Slade Wilson was a patient man. He could wait for hours if he wanted to. And when dealing with Batman’s people, you tended to have to be patient. They were trained and if they were strong or smart enough, posed a large threat.
Seeing Robin moving around and then spot him, well Slade was slightly irritated. That brat shouldn’t have been able to spot him. He was good. And getting better. Out of irritation and anger, Wilson fired a gun shot right at the boy. He ducked and rolled.
Getting up, Wilson grabbed a slightly larger gun and marched towards the red and green thorn in his side. “Oh no, no, no.” Slade said coldly as Robin perched himself up on a tree in hopes to most likely get a better advantage. “There will be none of that. You can’t out smart me Timothy, ” Slade said darkly just to eat at the boy, make him feel worthless knowing that he knew who he was, “You’re out of luck, Drake.”
Aiming, Slade fired again with a slick smirk. Maybe he’d take back what he said earlier. Maybe he did like New Years.

Wonder Girl Posted: Jan 4, 2007 12:32 AM
“Center of the city? I’m on it!” Cassie said with energy flying as fast as she could. It took her a few more minutes until she reached Gotham. Or what was Gotham.
“Oh my…”
There were fires and cried for help everywhere. People running around and villains doing what they do best causing trouble and murdering, hurting, looting. Wonder Girl narrowed her eyes as she flew off top speed to the GCPD.
Or… what was left of it.
The building had crumbled, there were leaks and fires and Cassie spotted a few dead police officers. “O-Oracle…” she said a bit shakily, “I’m at the GCPD… do… do you want me to look for anything in particular..?”

Calculator Posted: Jan 4, 2007 12:38 AM
"RESPOND! OMACs respond damn it!"
Impossible, he had rebuilt Brother Eye from scratch, he had spent months pefecting the new OMAC virus costing hundreds of lives in the testing process and now it had just been taken away from him in a matter of minutes. The only way it could have happened is if ...... oh, oh dear. Laughing out lout, it all hit him like a ton of bricks. The Bat must have put the clues together faster then anyone and knew what was going to happen, that's why he was prepared. But the beautiful thing? That meant he let it happen, he let all of the thousands of people who had died so far, die. That was quite delicious. However, Noah still had a slight OMAC problem. With a heavy sigh, he interfaced with the twenty-three other satallietes that he had hijacked earlier in the night. He didn't want to do this, but he wasn't left much choice.
"Initiate OMAC virus override, neural clean sweep. Run through LOA sub system on a random pulse frequency. Target area Gotham in a twenty mile radius. Password Birds of Prey. Engage."
Noah prepared for the eventuality that any of his weapons or allies could be used against him. So he was always ready to defang them. The new OMAC virus was no different. There was a part of it that was separate from the entire of the Brother Eye, or whatever it called itself, system. A part that could only be controlled by Noah. It was what caused so many of the deaths in testing as they had a hard time adapting a foreign agent with the virus and making sure it wasn't absorbed into it. Now it seemed it was worth it. There were currently 10, 000 OMACs in Gotham city, the whole of the army Noah had built. In a few seconds, the OMAC virus died in all of them, the blue armored shell around them shattering and falling off. Inside were 10, 000 of the League of Assassins warriors, all fanatically loyal to their leader, The One Who Is All. While they were no longer OMACs they were deadly and just as loyal to Noah's plans. Unfortunetly, they couldn't fly, so he actually lost 5, 000 or so to that pesky little thing called gravity. But the rest? They had been instructed on what to do. Freed from the OMAC virus they all drew their weapons and began the destruction anew.
"Now we do things the hard way I guess. Activate counter measure Market Garden."
Noah had many things under his control thanks to his allies and the Society. Things like the HIVE, which now came swarming up from below Gotham, having tunneled under in case they were called on. Everything drone and soldier in the HIVE, lead by Queen Bee, came into Gotham, guns blazing. Still, over the sounds of war and chaos, the hum of hovercrafts could be heard. Those would be the ones that belonged to Kobra, gifted to him by his good friend Talia. Those Kobra boys loved chaos like a god, so to them, that's what Noah was right now. A God. And they were a small fanatic army, armed with guns no religious zealot should ever have. Kuttler loved them. Bouncing his signal onto Oracles operational frequency, he spoke now to her and all of her agents.
"Perhaps now you see that your tactics will fail you. You can fight villains, but can you fight a war? That's what i've brought to your home, to your families and friends. I'm going to kill all of them, every last one. So bravo and your plays, but they are for naught. Pity Batman, you sacrificed all of those innocent lies for your plan, and now it's turned to so much nothing. News flash, you can stop this, not by hoping to knock out everyone under my command. No, your only choice is to hit the person who's behind it all, who's conducting this whole wonderful symphony of death. Fat chance. Toodles."
There, now maybe he'd have a moment to talk to Cobblepot in peace.

Robin Posted: Jan 4, 2007 12:45 AM
“Hey! Watch it!” Robin said flipping down the ground and running to avoid becoming Deathstroke’s personal bullet dummy. He chucked a bird-a-rang at his wrist but didn’t see if it struck or not when he heard Barb’s voice pop into his ear. Thank God that communicator came back on.
“Oracle!” he shouted with relief. There was static, but he could make her out enough.
“Alright! I’ll do my best to get to them… wait! My Dad has my spare communicator!” Tim shouted as he dodged a spray of bullets. His cape was acquiring quite a few holes from this little battle.
“He’s on frequency seven I think… tell him about the jet—! ACK!” Tim stopped mid sentence feeling one bullet get a little closer to his shoulder then he wanted. It was a light mark, it had just grazed the skin but it was enough to sting like Hell.
“Damn…” he whispered pulling out his grappling hook and swinging it right at Slade’s footing. He hoped the spikes cut into the man’s feet. See how he liked it.
“Tell my Pops about the jet and he can get out. But we have—WOA!—we have guests in the basement too. What about them?” Tim questioned. They weren’t all going to fit in the jet. The jet was small, made for two to four Tim was guessing. And they couldn’t take all those people to the Bat-Cave.
Slade seemed to get faster by each passing minute. Taking another bird-a-rang he aimed for the merc’s arm. Get that gun down first.
“How goes kicking Calculator’s ass?” Tim asked with a slight smile in hopes of bringing up Barbara’s spirits. He knew she was probably bogged down up to her ears but he as just curious as to where they stood.

Was he pissed? Not really, getting his nervous system rerouted into that of Stephen Hawking then almost getting killed by that slut Huntress? Yeah that pissed him off. Compared to that, getting hit from behind was just annoying. Getting up and brushing himself off, he looked at his now two foes. Black Canary and Ravager. Well there went any chance of him using moderation. Kicking the helmet into overdrive, he grinned as he was flooded with the knowledge of fifty of the worlds great fighters. Shiva, Dragon, Hawke, Tiger, Cain and many others. These two would be dead in seconds. Twirling his tonafa around, he motioned them forward.
"Come ladies, lets get this over with. I've got a hankering for some Ice Cream."

"Fabulous." Barbara breathed into her mic listening to Robin. "I'll let your father know, Tim. One moment--"
Hoping her system would hold through all of the incoming and outgoing data transfers, she switched frequencies to get a hold of Jack Drake.
"Mr. Drake?" her synthesized voice droned through the communicator. "This is Oracle. I was asked by Robin to get ahold of you by these means.
"To the south of your location is a jet that will be able to five of your guests to get them out of the area and off to safety.
"I have another jet on the way to pick up the remainder of your guests... and yourself. It's a bit larger and can hold more. May i suggest you and your guests start making your way out of the back entrance of your house? You'll need to move quickly.
"And please keep low."
Switching back to Robin, she ran a hand through her hair. "We're... working on it. Though he's given himself a strain of.... something that's made him like--"
She thought a moment, trying to think. "My mecca form. Only... what he weilds is unknown or if he'll be able to be stripped of it and be brought down to ground level.
"Batman's on it, however.
"I sent a page to Superman, just in case. He's called to assure me he's on his way."

The Flash Posted: Jan 4, 2007 2:36 AM
Getting several distress signals from Oracle and a few more from the Titans and the JLA, it didn't take Flash long to realize there was some real trouble brewing.
"Roger that, O. I read ya loud and clear."
Did she just say something about an OMAC.
'Awww. Didn't we already deal with those before!?' he whined mentally.
Taking them down the first time wasn't fun. And neither would the second time.
With his feet moving at an unbelievable speed, Flash's form raced across the state of New York and hit water. Moving faster still, with inertia on his side, he sliced through body of water and touched foot down on Gotham soil.
"I just hit Gotham, O. I need to know where I'm needed--"
Stopping dead, a black figure against a crimson backdrop emerged.
Flash groaned unenthusiastically. "AW man. Not you again!"

“C’mon loser! Fight with out the helmet!” Rose shouted and smirked whipping out her two swords. “Oh yea that’s right… you can’t because you’re just some pathetic wimp who needs the skills of others to fight your battles. What a loser, ” she snarled.
Rose wasn’t stupid however. She knew the helmet he wore on his head wasn't just for looks or fashion. It had the ability to give him all of the skills and fighting styles of 50 of the world's greatest martial artists all at the same time, among other things. She was hoping maybe by some small chance he’d try to prove her wrong and take the helmet off.
Yea that was a zero to none chance.
Oh well, she’d give her best then. Not bothering to wait for Canary, Rose charged first with her swords and began slashing away at Prometheus.
