She was a woman on a mission, unaware of just how grand the legacy she is filling is.
Charlotte Gage-Radcliffe. For years, she had known she was different, but following the very first time she ever 'porter', Charlie had known she was special. Yet it was her unique ability that eventually drew the attention of Christopher Daniels. Her closest, best friend, and the only person who knew of her abilties, Christopher was not the type to miss school. The action that led to Charlie to finally take matters into her own hands.
Growing up, Charlie ever had one real person she looked at as a hero: The Batgirl. Yet that was a long time ago. Seemed like ages now, and if her friend was going to be rescued, Gotham City needed a Batgirl again...even if she had to fill the role herself.
With a cape, cowl, homemade utility belt, and a trademarked Bat-symbol T-Shirt, Charlie began stalking the rooftops of downtown Gotham, quickly growing accustomed to her new identity: Batgirl.
Porting from rooftop to rooftop, a large, flashy smile crept along Charlie's face. She was truly enjoying herself. Being Batgirl was fun. She felt as if she was born for this role. But soon, the smile fades, images of Christopher being tortured by one of Gotham's super-criminals filling her mind.
She had to find him by any means.
Eventually, perching on the corner of Gotham Savings and Trades, she looked across the street, spotting a break in at a Wayne Tech subsitiary, her somewhat childish mind immediatly assumes that all criminals are the same, that these theives somehow know about who kidnapped her friend.
In a flash of pink light, "Batgirl" teleports amongst the criminals, the masked culprits immediatly dropping the crates containing technological goods and reach into their belt holsters, all three pulling their fire arms and pointing them at her. A cocky smile returning as another well placed port assists 'Batgirl' appearing behind the main criminal, pulling the gun out of his hand and giving a stiff elbow strike square into the side of his head, knocking him out.
The other criminals startled, they begin opening fire, 'Batgirl' teleporting to the top of a near by streetlight at the last moment. As soon as the criminals stop firing, 'Batgirl' dives down with her nylon rope in hand, stealthly wrapping it around the second criminals ankle, pulling the rope and tying him upsidedown, hanging from the street light.
The final theif begins to back up, breathing and sweating heavily through his ski mask, curing and believing 'Batgirl' is more then one person. Charlie lets out a cocky whistle to get his attention, moments before throwing a homemade Batarang at the theif's head, knocking him out and sending him flying back several feet and crashing into the pavement.
Standing amongst the defeated theives, 'Batgirl' walks over to the criminal hanging upsidedown, ripping off his mask and grabbing a handfull of his hear, attempting to play 'bad cop', but unable to fight her giggles, obsessed with how cool she thinks she is coming off as.
"Alright, mister!" *Giggles* "I think you have a friend of mine. Christopher Daniels." She looks away, trying to fight her smile. "You better start talking right now and tell me where he is..." *giggles giggles.* "...or else Im going to have to get...tough."
