"but I feel fine....and i'm not tired.....she just wants to poke and prod me....."
"I think I would feel better after a shower and you still smell...why don't we go practice a little water conservation" she giggled slightly.
Dinah looked at his face. "aww she broke your pretty nose....Bad Barbara...." Dinah gave her a stern look.
she pointed at her "no more beating up Ollie..."
Her blonde friend caught her attention. She let go of Ollie and wrapped her arms around her "Ohh Zinda lets go out and have some fun! Ollie is back and now we can party because well I will probably be less of a bitch" she smiled

Okay. So apparently those drugs were really affecting Dinah full force right now. At least she wasn't feeling any pain for the meantime. That was at least a plus.
"No more beating up Ollie..." she said, throwing her hands up in surrender. Though she had to really wonder why she lashed out the way she did at Ollie. She really only meant to TAP him... not... damage him like she did. She had to wonder if there may have been some underlying cause... something other than the sheer frustration and anger of him completely vanishing and leaving an incredibly large void in her best friend's heart. Not to mention everyone else around her.
"I'll fix it..." she said to her, a string of guilt laced within her soft voice.
Watching Dinah, she cringed at her rapid movements. "Dinah-- We STILL need to finish taping your ribs. Try not to move around so much--"

Zinda was caught off guard by Dinah's loopiness. She gently wrapped her arms around her shoulders to try her best to stabilize her.
She couldn't help but giggle through everything though. Loopy Dinah seemed just about as fun as drunk Dinah. At least to her. "I would LOVE to have some fun with ya, sweet stuff!" she smirked. "You are totally my favorite gal to party with!"
Listening to Barbara's words, she furrowed her eyebrow. "Though... The Skipper says we gotta finish patchin' you up first."
She had to make sure she spoke carefully. "You think we can do that before we get to partyin'?"

"Skippers being such a buzzkill.....first she beat up my boyfriend and now she wants to "patch me up" when I am fine....You promise we'll go out partying after though right? your not lying to me? you know your not a good liar...."
Dinah hopped up onto the bed so Barbara could finish patching her up. "Ollie after you get cleaned up you can join us, Zinda always knows where the party is at, we can have some fun for once"
"Barbara is grounded for beating you up and freckles over there is to young to go so it would just be the three of us....unless Helena is in town....don't get me wrong she can be a buzzkill to but can be quite entertaining when drunk...."
"am i done yet? I think I would know if I hurt my ribs...I think they would you know hurt...."

"That's because our Flight Princess gave you the best kind of drugs in our secret stash. So you're not feeling any kind of pain right now." she smirked. At least Dinah was cooperating somewhat in her hazy state.
She knew Dinah wasn't going to be sitting for long with the way she acting. When Barbara peeled away a bit of Dinah's suit, she frowned. "Uh.... you're going to need stitches first... This shouldn't take too long though."
After cleaning the area, she started, once again, to lay a row of stitches on her. She had gotten so used to doing patch-up work, each time she finished, she was always surprised at how fast she managed to complete things. It didn't take her too much time to get Dinah's ribs taped down either. If anything, she was just thankful that the woman didn't move around too much as she worked on her.
"I think you're good now... but you still need to take it easy."

"You may THINK you're fine, Sug..." she said to Dinah delicately, trying to explain. "But that's just the meds. Once they wear off, you're gunna be pretty sore."
Zinda bit her lip, holding back a smile. Even when Dinah was loopy, the woman could still read right through her. "You're right.. I really can't lie too well." And boy-howdy was that ever the truth.
Zinda couldn't help but giggle as Dinah spoke. Something about this Dinah she liked. She was highly entertaining.
Taking note to Barbara's insistence on getting Dinah patched up, she quickly followed after Dinah to assist while Barbara finished with the first aid. "I think a lot of the bars are closed down." she explained to Dinah. "It's after two. We might have to have our own little party right here! You think that would be okay?" she smiled.
Her plan? Let Dinah get the loopiness out of her and get to a state where she would pass out and probably sleep the day away. She only hope that her plan would go over well enough and that the others would somewhat go along with it. She did feel partly responsible for tossing Dinah the whole bottle of pain killers to her earlier. Zinda knew as well as anyone, that Dinah was going to need rest.

As Oliver Queen looked down at his lady love, knowing that a tranq was making her somewhat off-balanced and a tad bit loopy, he reached down inside his heart of hearts, and attempted to do the one thing that meant more then any action in the entire world.
He did his best not to laugh his ass off.
Don't get him wrong, Oliver wasn't an ass. Well...not THAT much of an ass. He didn't enjoy watching Canary in pain. How could he? She meant the world to him, and when she hurt, he hurt. This had been a very trying time for the two of them, and he wasn't one to 'get off' on her troubles.
But watching her right there, in his arms, stoned out of her mind with pain tranqs....he had to admit, she was pretty damn cute.
He held her close as Oracle stitched her up, almost as if either one of them was afraid to let the other one go. Maybe they were afraid the other one would run away. Maybe there was a deeper conenction between the two. Maybe they were simply hanging on for dear life since, between the drugging and the epic beatings, the moment either one let the other go, there was a strong possibility that they would fall flat on their faces. Eitherway, Oliver didn't want to let go of Dinah, and it was a labor of love.
As Oracle finished stitching, Green Arrow looked down into her face and gave a soft smile.
"Doctor's orders, Dinah. Let's at least try and give 'laying down' a try, huh? What do you say?"

Everything was happening so fast.
So fast that Charlie's trademark headache was slowly beginning to return.
Moments ago, there was screaming. And fighting. And anger. And frustration. And Charlie was trying to do nothing more then to get some damn sleep. Then suddenly, Oracle is playing Doctor, Green Arrow is not only alive, but Mr. Romantic, and Dinah is high as a kite.
What was she? Dreaming?
Shaking her head softly, Charlie walked back over to the first aid kit and took out a bottle of asprin, grabbing a couple and immediatly pops them. After swallowing, Charlie walked back over to her bed (the one Dinah was previously laying on) and sat back down on it, trying to stay out of the way. She cuddled up with her arms wrapped around her legs, watching and trying to replay everything in her head.
Mmmmmm...stupid headache.
As the others were pre-occupied, Carlie reached over and picked up the little keepsake that Barbara had let her borrow: the Flash plushie. A smile came across her face as she cuddled it closer to her, watching as her hero stitched up Black Canary.
Heh...Oracle.
No matter what happens in life, she is always there for her. She's everything that she ever wanted in life, all wrapped up in the perfect package. She's a mother. She's a sister. She's a best friend. She's a hero. Heh...all in all, I guess it could be said that when it comes to Barbara Gordon, Charlie really lov---
Time slowed down.
Everything stopped.
Charlie's emerald eyes opened wide in shock as the concept fully dawned on her. Suddenly, everything began to make sense.
Oh Charlie...what have you gotten yourself into?

"I don't want to lay down" she pouted
"Zinda promised we would party and Barbara patched me all up and i was a good girl while she did it.....do I get a lollipop?....I want a lollipop...."
"If I feel fine now but you say i'm going to hurt later than why not have fun now while it doesn't hurt cause I won't be able to have fun later but I don't really remember why I would be hurting....and when did you show up?" she looked over to ollie.
"Aren't you dead? I thought you were dead....oh well....Do you want to have fun with Zinda and Me... Me and Zinda....Zinda and I? I think that ones right..."
"Zinda don't make me go lay down" She looked at her big blue puppy dog eyes.

Okay, this was officially getting insane.
With the roll of his eyes, Oliver Queen finally decided to take matters into his own hands. Despite his pain, he picked Dinah off the ground and put her over his shoulder, holding her as a mother would, carrying her temper-tantrum child out of a super market.
"Come on, slugger. I think you need yourself a bit more rest then you realize. Come on, I'll take you to bed, myself."
As he help Dinah closer, he whispered so that only she could hear him.
"And if we can get some time alone, maybe I'll help you with that 'lollipop' you most rickly deserve..."
Despite all he has been through, Oliver Queen would really never change.

"your no fun" she pouted
"I hold you responsible Zinda" she yelled as she was taken away from the group.
"ooh a lollipop...I want a cherry one....hey wait a minute..... that's not what you mean at all is it? you will never change Oliver Queen"
Dinah started to feel a bit drowsy as he carried her and even more as he set her down on the bed.
"I don't want to sleep...." she said fighting to keep her eyes open
she finally gave in and closed her eyes. "are you still going to be here when I wake up or was this all a dream' she whispered quietly.

God, she was cute.
She was everything in the world that he wanted. Everything in the world he loved. Everything in the world that made him happy. Yes, she drove him crazy to no end, but still...she was his pretty bird, and that was all he needed in life.
"Of course Im gonna be there, Dinah. In fact, I can use a bit of shuteye myself..."
With his freehand, Oliver was able to pull off his quiver, setting it down on Oracle's workbench, not even giving it a second thought. His last few hours lightly spilled out. He didn't give it a second thought, but he couldn't help but let out a pleased sigh. The feel of taking the Quiver off sent shivers through his spine. It was such a loud off to finally be able to drop his guard and not have to carry around the excess weight.
"Don't worry..." Oliver looked back at Oracle. "...I'll take care of her. You have my word."
Oliver may have been a stuck up, pain in the ass, but his word was gold. When he said he was going to take care of her, he meant it. Not fooling around. No taking advantage of her. Nothing but resting. He know how close Dinah and Oracle were, so it only seemed proper that he inform her of his intent.
Oliver was going to try and start over with Barbara Gordon. After all, he left her in charge with his second most valued thing in his life: his Quiver.
Dinah.
She was the first.

The bit of relief came the moment Ollie threw Dinah over her shoulder. She knew at that moment that she wasn't going anywhere and Ollie was going to make double sure of that. She nodded her thanks to him, the moment she heard Ollie confirm his actions. "I'd appreciate that." she said to him softly. "I trust you."
And she honestly did.
She knew inside that Oliver Queen had the best of intentions for those around him. Despite him not really being around for those family members he left after the collapse of Star City...
He was here now and if anything... his presence around the city would only further help them in the long run.
She groaned to herself thinking back to the beating she had given to him moments before.
The uncontrollable bought of anger and emotion.... more laced with the eternal FEAR of losing those closest to her again.
It just.. came so suddenly.
She really didn't mean for things to get so.. out of hand.
She closed her eyes, her mind slipping back to the flashes she had witnessed on her monitors earlier that night.
Canary's hand.
Her silence.
The draining blood coming in her line of sight.
She shuddered, trying to pull her mind from the thoughts.
She was going to need to make this up to Ollie. To let him know that he truly was a valued member their base unit. Beating the living pulp out of him would only work so far. One good whack was really all it took. Anything more was in excess.
Barbara sighed to herself as she watched as Ollie dropped his quiver on her workbench.
Maybe with everyone getting some sleep, she could get some work done. Keep herself busy... do SOMEthing.
There was no way she was sleeping. Not after the night she had.
She turned to Zinda. "Thank you again for bringing them in here, Zinda. And thanks again for the medical assistance. I'm... going to try and get a few things done before I head in. Feel free to crash... I'll pick things up here..."
She could already see the knowing glance that Zinda was going to give her. She ALWAYS gave her that 'You're working too hard' look. "I'll be FINE..." she said with a half smile. "I'll wake you should anything come up."
Barbara needed to check in on her messages as well as a few other things. Another late night with her precious system would hopefully give her a bit of information on the rest of Gotham's activities.
As she wheeled passed her workbench, she took hold of Oliver's quiver and set it in her lap.
But first...
An idea..

"I knoooow you don't want to, but maybe it IS the best for you. But once you wake up we can--" Zinda was cut short, the moment that Ollie scooped up Dinah.
She couldn't help but giggle seeing her in the condition that she was in. She leaned in to Barbara and smirked. "I really hope you got your internal security cameras rolling. We're gunna have a field day showing this back to her when she comes to."
She waved back to the two as the started to disappear down the hall. "Goodnight you two! Catch y'all in the morning!"
Zinda reached over and grabbed one of the unopened bottles of water and took a drink from it before starting to gather some of the stray bits of bandage wrapping that had fallen on the floor. "You're welcome." she said to Barbara. "I'm just glad that my services were needed."
She furrowed her brow, looking back to her. Why did it always seem that Barbara was always the one who got the least amount of sleep than anyone else? Even when times were stressful? "You REALLY shouldn't--" She bit her lip. "Are you SURE you're going to be okay, Skipper? I really don't mind staying up to help. I know it's late and everything..."
It always seemed no use arguing with her. Especially when her mind was dead set. At least.. when it came to the area of sleep. "Well, alright..." she said, pulling off her trademark Blackhawk jacket. " If you need *anything*... and i DO mean ANYTHING.. you come wake me up right away, okay?"
She walked over to Barbara and rested her hand on her shoulder, giving her a light squeeze. "Don't forget to get some sleep yourself. Don't want anymore of this 'Cranky Babs' stuff. She's pretty dangerous." she said with a joking wink. "Goodnight, Skipper."
Zinda walked over to the trash and got rid of anything extra that may have been around. The least she could do was at least make Barbara's life a bit easier. Once her task had been completely, she headed down the hall and disappeared into her room.

Charlie needed air.
Or, more to the point, she had to get out of the monitor room.
Ducking into the nearest walkway to the monitor room, Charlie pushed herself against the wall, letting the rest of the world pass her by. She couldn't hear anything. She couldn't see anything. As her small, trembling hand pressed against her heart, images and thoughts filled her mind.
As far as she knew, she had always been...normal. She was jut your regular girl. She liked boys. Had many the crushes in her life. No...it couldn't be...she wasn't...
...you know...
As Zinda went off to bed, Charlie slowly peeked around the corner, watching as her mentor, Oracle, began to tinker with Green Arrow's Quiver. Watching her work filled her heart with flutter. There was just something about Oracle...something about Barbara Gordon....that made Charlie's heart practically pound out of her chest.
With eyes shut, Charlie had to close her eyes.
Okay.
Breath.
First, Charlie had to face the facts: there WAS a girl in the world, and she HAD special feelings for her. No matter how much she denied it, Charlie had a thing for a woman of the same sex...but see...that was the thing.
Charlie's mind instantly began to play through every single woman she had ever met in her life. Dozens of faces, images, and bodies filled her mind. Dinah? Sure, she knew she was attractive, and she was a good friend, but she didn't feel THAT way about her. Zinda? The life of the party, and tons of respect, but again, not feelings...that way about her. Oracle....
*sigh*
Her Oracle.
As Charlie peeked around the corner, continuing to watch oracle work, a gently smile formed on her face, her freckled cheeks turning bright red. Maybe she wasn't 'into' girls, but in Barbara Gordon, she most certainly saw one girl she was into.
All in all, Charlie came to a realization: the lust and attaction to someone isn't skin deep, and the attraction itself knows know gender. Watching as she continued to work, Charlie simply quietly observed, allowing herself to simply embrace (and perhaps one day enjoy) her new found feelings.
It wasn't an attraction to women in general.
It was simply an attraction to her.
To Barbara.
Her hero.
