Joker was watching TV again when he heard a noise from inside the room. 'That's odd, ' he thought. 'The only other people here are either taped to chairs or dead.' Joker pulled a gun and stood up. He looked around the room, straining to hear another noise, but there was nothing. He started toward the door leading to where he was keeping his guests when he saw who was with him out of the corner of his eye.
"I was wondering when you two were going to show up."

"You said this involved Gordon. You never said anything about the other cops."
Two-Face had seen Montoya in the other room. Whatever was left of Harvey Dent inside of him would hate to see her harmed. He may not have even agreed to help Joker if he knew it involved her and not just Gordon. However, he was going to stick to the agreement.
"Now put away that gun and let's go over the details. I'm not leaving anything to chance."
And for the next few hours, they talked.

She spoke carefully into her com-line. "The only possible lead that I have is Joker. though I have a feeling there might be something I'm missing. Something I'm overstepping.
"I'm not sure that there's anything else I can have you run on.... why don't you come back this way and we'll butt heads and see what we can come up with--"
~~~~~
A few days later Barbara and her father Jim Gordon were seen walking into the Knight's stadium. It was baseball season and the Knights were holding a game to their greatest rivals: The Metropolis Monarch's.
As Barbara passed the man standing outside of the enterance, she handed him her ticket. "You know... this reminds me of when Kara used to come to town and we'd go to ever single ballgame that came to Gotham."
Jim Gordon, walked side by side with his daughter. Guiding their way through the crowd he stopped short of the refreshment booth. "Kara.... your friend from Smallville? Blonde hair?"
Barbara grinned. "Yeah.. That's her...." Stopping, she turned noticing her father scooting over to the snack line. "Don't you think we should find out seats first?"
"Well.... yeah.. but I had to get my pumpkin some cotton candy." he winked, smiling. He then pointed to the large display of cotton candy behind the counter. "I know how much you like it."
Barbara giggled. "You know you really don't have to--"
Jim made a zipping motion over his lips and wagged his finger. "Pbbbt. Not another word. You're my daughter and I intend to spoil you today, okay?" He then handed a twenty dollar bill to the woman behind the counter. "Two of your cotton candies please."
It didn't take long for Jim to receive his candy and change. He then handed one of the rather large cotton candy pieces to Barbara. "Here you go... and NOW we can get to those seats..."
After a long, detailed discussion with Two-Face about how the next few days would play out... more specifically the situation with Gordon... Joker made his way into the room where he was keeping Montoya, Bullock, and Essen. The two of the three who were alive looked at him with disgust. Joker frowned.
"I like her best. She doesn't seem to be as hard to please when it comes to the accommodations, " he said as he pointed at Essen's remains. "You could learn a thing or two from her about being thankful for your host's hospitality."
Joker walked up to Bullock, reached into the larger man's jacket pocket, and pulled out a pack of cigars and a lighter.
"You mind? I've always wanted to try one."
Joker lit up a cigar as dramatically as he could and blew the smoke in Bullock's face. The detective grunted and struggled to free himself and attack Joker, but failed. Joker chuckled and dropped the cigar on the floor, putting it out with his shoe.
"Eh... it's just not for me. Sorry to have wasted that. I know there are children in Indonesia who could've used it."
Next Joker walked to Montoya and put his mouth close to her ear, whispering to her.
You know, it's a shame the big guy is here... we could've had some fun together. Guess I didn't think his plan all the way through."
Joker looked up to see Two-Face glaring at him and thought it best to leave Montoya alone for the time being.
"Well, kiddos, it's time for bed. I'll make breakfast in the morning. How do waffles sound?"
He turned on his heel to walk toward the door, hit the light switch on the way out, leaving them in total darkness.
~~~~~~~~~~
Joker watched from across the street as Jim and Barbara Gordon entered the stadium to watch the baseball game together. Sitting in his car, thinking about the quality father-daughter bonding time made him want to gag. 'I bet they even like cotton candy, ' he thought to himself.
The day before the game Joker had jumped an employee of the stadium and stolen his uniform and keycard. Already dressed in the coveralls and the cap pulled down low to hide his eyes, Joker exited the car and crossed the street, walking to the employees entrance. He swiped the card and opened the door, closing it quickly behind him. He walked down a long corridor to a janitor's closet and grabbed a large rolling garbage can and threw a few large brooms and mops into it to help hide his face a little better.
Looking both way to see if anyone was coming, Joker slipped back out of the closet and made his way out toward the concession stands. After a moment of looking around he saw Gordon buying... ugh... cotton candy. Joker held his position, waiting and watching where the pair would go to sit.

As Barbara and her father made their way toward their seats she stopped a moment seeing a small scene take place in the stadium's long and shadowed halls. Something... whatever it was just didn't seem right.
Why am I getting the strange sense that something isn't all that it seems to be?
Frowning a moment, she pulled out her cell phone and hit Dinah's number on speed dial.
"Oh Barbara-- put that away... I thought we had an agreement of no phones."
Barbara covered the mouthpiece. "I know.. I'm sorry. I promise this won't be long..."
As soon as the phone clicked on, Barbara spoke, leaning away from her father. "Dinah? I'm at Knight's Stadium in downtown Gotham... despite the overzealous turnout I keep getting a strange feeling that something's not right... That and lingering shadows.
"I'm... sure it's nothing.. but if you're not too busy do you think you can play stadium security? Just... to make sure things are alright?
"There's a lot of of off duty police officers here.. and I know a lot of them are connected with my father. I just want to be sure.. and make sure others are safe... just in case. I'll even make sure to save you a box of Cracker Jacks by the time all of this is done." she grinned.

Dinahs phone started buzzing off her counter. "Hello? ..........your so paranoid.......tell you what you throw in some cotton candy and you got it." she smiled slightly. "alright I'll be there shortly." she quickly hung up and took off to Knights Stadium.
Getting through security was a little to easy....Maybe Barbara was right in calling her. This place was pretty big and it was going to take her awhile to cover the grounds. "alright I am in....What seats are you two in so I can keep an eye on you? I'm going to check out the employees areas first and work my way out to the main part of the stadium. Keep me updated if you see any more strange shadows" She smiled and headed down the long cooridor.

Barbara grinned weakly. Was it her or was everyone addicted to the cotton candy? She shrugged it off. "Cotton candy it is then... Thanks a bunch."
Flipping her phone off, she tucked it back into her pocket. "Sorry about that, daddy." She took a small piece of her cotton candy and offered it to him for a bite. "Mmm... you know this does taste excellent. I wish I could get this stuff daily... I think I'd honestly be less cranky at times."
Gordon laughed weakly. "Oh-- you know, during all of that rush i forgot to ask if you wanted something to drink-- How about i get us some lemonade?"
Barbara swayed for a moment, thinking about it. "The fresh squeezed kind they have at that one stand we saw on the way in?"
He nodded, standing. "That's the one. Would you like a cup?"
She nodded. "Just hurry back! I don't want you missing any of the action."
"You've got it."
As Gordon left, Barbara heard Dinah's voice in her ear. Activating her com she spoke. "We're in front of homeplate.. maybe off to the left, looking north. Third row."
She glanced behind her to see which way her father went. "Will do, Dinah." she said, popping in another piece of cotton candy. "Dad went to get some lemonade..." she informed her. "He should be heading down hallway B, behind us..."

Joker pulled down his cap and pushed his cart over near Barbara. He thought about just sticking her with the syringe he'd brought to knock her out and pushing her wheelchair himself but saw Gordon was on his way back. Instead he set up a sign saying the floor was wet and started mopping. He watched the commissioner and his daughter find their seats and waited patiently for Babs to use the bathroom. She'd have to eventually, right?

"Well so far so good....I haven't run into anything suspicious yet." she heads back towards the stands. "You sure that there is something wrong here?" Dinah stops for a few minutes near the entrance way and try to spot Barbara

As Gordon returned, he handed Barbara a large Lemonade. He smiled as he took a seat next to her. "All they had was large, pumpkin." he explained.
Barbara grinned just faintly and took the lemonade, taking a sip. "Somehow I think they're fibbing to you, just so you'll pay more to buy the large."
Gordon chuckled. "Somehow.. I think you're right."
As the game got underway, a roar emitted from the crowd as they watched one of the home-team players run straight to second base.
Barbara pressed her com device and spoke to Dinah. "I'm pretty sure I saw something.. Don't let the heat get to you just yet. Keep your eyes peeled."
After an inning passed, Barbara sank back and inhaled. "I'll be right back, daddy." she said, trying to pull out of the spot she had situated herself in. "I need to use the restroom."
Gordon watched his daughter for a moment. "Would you like me to come with you?"
She shook her head laughing. "I'll be just fine. Besides.. it's not like the bathroom is ten miles away. it's just around the corner."
He nodded back to her as she made her way down the ramp toward the hall. She stopped a moment noticing the mini blockade. She frowned. "Wet floor....in this heat?"

Joker saw Barbara approaching. He kept his face hidden and moved the sign to the side.
"Sorry ma'am, " he said in an over-exaggerated Southern accent. He waited for her to go by and waited a few seconds until he saw the door to the women's restroom close. Once it was shut he put up a barrier in front of the door saying 'closed for cleaning' and walked in. He made sure no one was in the restroom but Barbara, and then he waited hidden in a stall. When she was at the counter washing her hands Joker kicked the door open and rushed her. He wrapped one arm around her to keep her from attacking and used the other hand to inject her in the neck with his own special concoction that'd keep her knocked out long enough to get her back to his hideout.
Joker poked his head out of the restroom to see if anyone was coming, then rushed Barbara out, using the same way he came in as his exit. Walking quickly, he crossed the street and loaded the girl and her chair into his van. Then Joker got in and headed for home.
