Normally all closed up in her top of the line workstation, Barbara Gordon actually had a few of the surrounding windows wide open allowing for a crisp cool breeze to be pushed into the room by the Metropolis night. That was one of the nice things about living where she did-- she could actually have the windows open and not get a stagnant aroma of city life from outside. The only real threat she seemed to be facing were the occasional big fights between Superman and his ’friends.’ "Roger that, Harper." came the reply. "I’ll make sure I pass the information on to Nightwing when I speak to him next." Pushing her glasses back up on her nose, she closed the previous connection she had open. It seemed that the night had kept her busy with just relaying messages back and forth. No matter though, that was her job after all. Her attention was soon caught off guard, hearing a faint steady beeping coming from her eastern console. Pushing herself backward, her eyes scanned over her screen, accessing the point where a tiny light was blinking. "Hmmm..." It only took her a moment to figure out what was going on. "Lovely.." she muttered to herself, before accessing her list of available agents within a ten mile radius. She opened a connection. "Huntress-- Canary... if either one of you have a free moment would you mind heading down to KORD Industries? Location is at fifty-five, seventy-three. Disturbance relay protocol sixteen thirty-five."

Dinah had just finished taking down a few thugs when Barbara chirped into her ear. "and I thought I was going to have another dull night....whats up?" Dinah slowly walked out the alley and down the street as she listened quickly turning her direction and pace towards the coordinates Oracle gave her. "Protocol sixteen thirty-five? Oracle come on you know I don’t like to have to remember things like that...Why can’t you just say break in, or assault or Timmy fell down the well again...." Dinah chuckled to herself quietly. "just to be clear...a sixteen thirty five is a break in right?" Dinah looked up at the massive building that she had been sent to looking for a way to get in. "alright what floor and I’m hoping you have a way to bypass the security for me."

"Correct, Dinah. A sixteen-thirty-five is a break in. At least by our protocol." She grinned just faintly at her response. "You know me, Dinah... always trying to get your head to explode in one way or another. Besides... it keeps you on your toes. I’ll give you a gold star for getting that one right."
Pushing herself over to her main console, she brought up the KORD Tech informational grid. "It’ll only take me a moment to get you in through the door that you need to get into." She checked on Dinah’s location on the building’s perimeter. "Need eyes." she reminded her partner, instructing her to turn on her STARLITE lenses.
"The window to your east... I’ll grant you access. Look alive.. I’m not sure how many perps there are... I’ll run a digital sweep through their security system to figure out what you’re working with..."

"sweet I will be sure to put that gold star on my fridge....or well your fridge...." Dinah smiled and surveyed the area waiting for Oracle to grant her access. Respoding to Dinah’s command she turned on her lenses to give her partner access to what she was seeing.
"nothing really seems out of the ordinary yet." Dinah made her way to the window she was instructed to and made her way inside. Keeping quite she made her way down the hallway looking for anything out of the ordinary. "i’m not seeing anything...do you have anything coming up on your thingy majig?"

Barbara’s eyes quickly scanned her screen looking through the green wireframed figures. She pointed. "To your five o’ clock, two bodies up about twenty-five feet. behind a wall that looks like you’re starting to come into view on."
Barbara grinned just faintly. "Mmmm... if that’s where you’d like the gold star to go, I’ll make sure it’s there when you get home."

Posted by: Clock KingPosted: Jul 29, 2008 5:32 AM Snapping shut his pocket watch, the man known only as the Clock King rested on his walking stick while watching the half a dozen mercinaries load up his specially designed hover boxes with the items that he was being paid to steal. Even though the security had been dealt with and the alarms disabled, Clock King was still nervous. His employer had given him the six mercinaries he was with and the other two thugs that were standing guard in the next room. Not only was he working with minions who weren’t his own, but he wasn’t sure why they were even hitting Kord industries. He supposed it was the lighter security, while it was formidable it was nowhere near the level of LexCorp or WayneTech, so it did make some slight sense. The only thing that did make him comfortable was the fact that not only were they following the strict schedule that he had set aside for the operation so they were right on time, but his own metapower of being able to know what would happen a little more then four seconds in the future should help them to work around any unexpected happenings which unfortunately this town of Gotham is known for. Checking his pocket watch on final time, Clock King could only wait as they finished loading up the last of the materials and think about all of the money he’d be getting.

Dinah rested her back against the edge of the wall and peered around the corner spotting the two thugs. Luckily for her they were facing the other direction and deep into conversation about something. "you know oracle, I have really missed the stupid low life thugs of New Gotham, They never see it coming....makes it more fun" she whispered into her earpiece. Now its time to get this party started.
"Hello boys.....Do you know what time it is?" She smiled at the shocked look on their faces as they turned around. One went to grab his walkie talkie but with a swift kick it was sent flying across the room shattering on the floor before he ever got near the button. "now, now.... we wouldn’t want you giving a heads up to anyone else who may be here would we?" the other thug rushed her and with a solid kick to the gut and an elbow to the back he was done for the night. Dinah quickly advanced the other guy who started backing away after seeing how fast his friend went down. "what’s wrong? are you scared?" The guy finally decided to throw a punch which Canary easily caught and slammed her fist into the guys jaw knocking him out cold.
"alright Oracle these two are done but I have a pretty good feeling that they are not alone....any more hits on your machine?"

Watching the action through Canary’s lenses, Barbara had to turn her screen in the opposite direction until the sudden movement came to a stop. It was making her motion sick.
Her eyes traveled back to her wire framed outlook of the room that Dinah was currently on. "No kind of movement from the room that you’re in... other than the electromagnetic waves coming from that walkie-chip about ten feet to your three o’ clock. Might want to grab that..." she hinted as she fussed with camera angles, checking once more for anything.
Barbara sat back for a moment to ponder. You know.. this puzzles me. T
"What were they trying to grab? And I’m checking the perimeter of the building, looking for anything. Give me a second--"

Dinah walked over in the direction she remembered kicking the walkie talkie and searched around for a few seconds until she spotted it. "aww I think I broke it..." She picked it up and examined it. All that was coming out was static. "I’m getting nothing from this....It didn’t look like these two were after anything...They looked more like your typical dumb lookouts. I’m going to head further in and see if I can’t find anyone else to play with." Dinah dropped the walkie talkie and headed through the next door.

As Dinah held it up to her face, Barbara took note of the external damage of the walkie. "It looks like it is in rough shape...." She rubbed her chin in thought for a moment. "Would you be able to hook it to your service pack? I’ll see if I can’t unscramble whatever frequency the thing is activating at."
Her eyes darted to her monitor as one of the cameras flashed over one of the back points to the building. "Oh-- whoa-- wait. Get to the south of the building-- I have thermals."

"You know your turning me into your little walking computer with all these little gadget things you keep giving me..." Dinah started hooking up the device when Oracle suddenly responded with another activity alert. "good thing I was hoping I'd get to kick a little more but tonight" she smiled slightly and quickly made her way to the south side of the building. As she scanned the hallways looking for any clues to where her new found friends might be she was lucky enough to find that they were a talkative bunch and lead her right to them. Dinah waited outside the door listening, waiting for the opportune time to interupt. With a sudden kick she knocked the door off of the hinges and emerged into the room. "well Hello boys...."
