"They all seem to be a little bit cocky when we face them, don't they?" She looked up to her in question. For a few moments she drew silent as the pencil in her hand met the piece of paper on the table. From memory she started drawing. Drawing a quick sketch of what she could remember. Before long she turned the paper toward Dinah. "I know my drawing skills aren't perfect... but is that what you saw? The eyes of the dragons eyes were glimmering topaz... with set ruby stones... or what looked to be ruby on the ends? Silver and gold?"

"aww how cute....I am so going to put this on the fridge" Dinah smiled and looked over the picture as Barbara described it. "I didn't really get that good of a look at the sword but yeah I think that is it, do you think the sword has anything to do with this? I mean shouldn't we be looking for the guy?" She put the picture on the table and waited for her response.

"Heh... the fridge." she gave Dinah a smirk. "You're funny. Do I get a sticker too??"
Barbara looked back to Dinah and then back to the scribble she had just done in front of her. She rested her chin her hands as she thought about the question that was faced before her. "I just... have this feeling that this SWORD might be our key to everything. If we find this sword, it might lead us right to the guy himself."

"are we done with this boring book stuff now? I'd rather be out kicking in doors and looking for this guy....This really isn't keeping me from not wanting to sleep" she set the book she was looking through down. "you need to hire more bookworms"

Barbara smirked. "Well... if I had the option, I'd call Helena.. but... you're the real connection I've got. Plus? You're suffering from the ill effects just as I am. You would know better."
She rubbed the back of her neck and sighed weakly. "I... almost would like to say that we were. I... think there's some kind of connection.
"I think i might need to to make a specified late night run for me... Do.. you think you're up for it? Or is your back hurting too much?"

"It hurts but sitting here isn't making it feel better and I'd rather be out there so whatever you need let me know. Anything to get me away from these dusty old books, I think I am allergic to them" She grinned as she stood up and stretched a little.
"where do you need me to go?"

Barbara gave her a small chuckle. Oooh how she was complaining about books now. Dinah was surely going to throw a fit the moment she told her where she needed her to go.
She pondered if she should just give her the coordinates and let her to be surprised when she ended up there. She smirked thinking about the reaction her friend could possibly give back to her. "Would... you like a surprise? Or.. should I cut to the chase? I know how much you like surprises..."

"what the hell i'm up for an adventure surprise me. Be right back." Dinah took off up to her room to change into her signature adventure outfit and headed back down to Barbara's little "study hall"
"alright give me at least a general direction to head and i'll be off"

Barbara couldn't help but grin at Dinah's sense for adventure. And she was honestly grateful for it. Not every day that you could find someone willing to run blind while you called the shots.
There was a lot of trust between the two of them, and Barbara found herself extremely thankful she had someone like that working with her.
"I'm going to have you run toward the northside... toward City Hall...
"Keep visuals, please?"

"yes Ma'am! She grinned and saluted before making a hasty exit to the door.
"its kind of chilly out tonight" Dinah commented as she headed towards city hall.
"I should really get my Bike fixed, make these things a lot quicker..."

Barbara had found herself in front f her monitors as she watched her screen. Watching Dinah bounce from rooftop to rooftop almost seemed like she were right in the middle of the action herself. Almost as if she were on a roller coaster ride waiting for that plunge straight down only to come curving around and looping around in another direction moments later.
"Your bike is making good time in getting itself fixed. Probably wouldn't be taking so long if you hadn't have let it smash against a building like you did..." She smirked weakly at the thought. "....at least you got those guys after everything. It wasn't a total loss."
Continuing to watch Dinah's sights, she took notice to the white glint of City Hall that had lay blocks ahead. "Make a left up here on Park." she instructed. "Your quest should begin with the second building on your left."
She waited a moment. "How badly are you going to hurt me when you get back here?" she teased.

"I think my bike would beg to differ...." she followed Barbara's instructions leading her right to the public library.
"you've got to be kidding me? You sent me on an adventure to an even bigger place filled with even older, dustier books?"
"You better have a giant sundae filled with all my favorite toppings when I get back if you want me to go in there.

Barbara gave a half smile to Dinah's response. "I told you that you probably weren't going to like this quest."
She chuckled weakly. "Giant sundae upon your return.." she nodded weakly. "Yeah.. I think I'll be owing you one of those upon your return for sure.
"I'm going to go ahead and lower the alarm system them have in place so you can slip in unnoticed..."

"yeah like I'm sure they have the most elaborate alarm system in place to protect all these books that kids are trying to steal..." Dinah easily slipped in through an open window.
"see they don't even lock it up tight...probably hoping some kids will come in and steal some books..."
"alright so which dusty old cover am I looking for?

"Heh..." Leave it to Dinah to point out the blatantly obvious about a library. "Well... there are SOME kids who--"
Barbara stopped herself in trying to defend the library. She knew better. Kids today weren't like how she was growing up. "Eh.. nevermind.." she said quickly, trying to allow that who incident try to slip through the cracks.
"I.... had a thought that maybe there might be an old book that could give us a better hint about that sword. I know it's going to be a little rough to place form the dinky little sketch I drew... but I'm sure if it pops up, it will be recognizable.
"I'm half thinking.. that the sword.. is our Sandman's key. He's NEVER without it and he seems to baby it. At least... from what I recall. He's an over confident, cocky, prick that's keeping me from getting a good night's sleep. And I'm starting to get agitated. It... almost feels like something our of Nightmare on Elm Street or.. something..."
She paused in thought. "An... artifact book. Something on ancient mystical artifacts... Perhaps.. with 16th or 17th Centuries..."
